Getting men to attend has always been a stigma. It doesn’t matter that since yoga's birth in India thousands of years ago, was mainly been taught and studied by men. While it is a known fact that yoga classes are mostly attended females in tight clothes, contrary to popular belief, it’s not just a sport for the ladies. There are ample of reasons why males should be doing the sport, and James Wong is a firm believer that men have plenty to benefit or gain, with nothing to lose.

Getting To Where James Is Today
James comes from a strong Anatomical background where he picks up his knowledge in his years as a Stotts Pilates teacher (specialising in Injury & Special Population Therapy) and other Yoga Anatomy courses. He spent years of understanding the neuromuscular functionality of the body anatomy into developing the safest and effective way in both yoga and pilates practices.
He always emphasises in class that it is not about forcing ourselves into a pose but it is the process of understanding our body's limitations and work towards improving our postural alignment and hence heal our physical and emotional body through proper Yoga and Pilates practice. Some of us maybe born flexible but a lack of control and some needs to work their way into flexibility. All requires time to cultivate, both strength in the mind, wisdom and physique in doing a yoga pose. James strongly believes in the perfect marriage between Yoga and Pilates as both modalities complements one another.
Nothing To Hold James Back
In recent years James has also developed skills as a Remedial Therapist in Trigger Point where he completed his studies from Australia, and adopts these skills into his Myofascia Release Therapy Restorative Yin Yoga classes.
