10 Things You Will Regret Not Doing In Your 20s

20s No Regrets

20s are the best times of our lifes. Not sure what the 20s will say, but those after 20s will surely agree. Ask anyone around you if they wish to go back to their 20s and we bet most of the answers will be a firm Yes! It is always when we get older, we start to look back to realize that we could have done things differently for a better today. Here’s a list of things that most of us (will) regret not doing in our 20s.

1) Not Traveling When You Had The Chance

Travelling becomes harder the older you get, especially when you already have a family and to maintain a living becomes your priority in spending. Travel while you have the freedom with no commitments in your 20s.

2) Save More Money

As we get older and realize every single cent counts, we wish we could have saved more money during our younger days. Any excess cash could be life-changing for maintaining a family or business.

3) Date More

Once you are married and that will be it for the rest of your life. Date more until you really find the one whom you can spend the rest of your life with. Do not waste your youth staying in an unhappy relationship.

4) Party Hard

The older you get, the less likely you will have the chance to party like there’s no tomorrow. You simply do not have the stamina anymore and even if you do, obligations for family will be a natural curfew for you to go home early.

5) Go to College/University

9 out of 10 wish they could go back to college or university. The vibrancy, freedom and colorful lifestyle of partying, knowing new friends, hanging out together and so on. And if you have the chance to study abroad, you should. That's once in a lifetime opportunity to experience different culture and to open up your perspectives.

6) Do Crazy Stuff

Remember that you only live once. Be adventurous and try new things in your 20s because as you grow older you will no longer have the guts for exploration anymore.

7) Start Up Something

The older you are to plan to start up something, the less likely you will pursue due to higher risk at stake. When you are in your 20s, you have next to nothing to lose. If you fail, your advantage is you get to start again.

8) Making More Friends

Networking may seem like a bunch of crap when you’re young, but later on it becomes clear that it’s how so many jobs are won. Start to develop network and contacts early.

9) Not Spending Enough Time With Your Families

We spend most of our times away from our families during our 20s. Take some time out to spend time with your loved ones. Do not wait until it is too late.

10) Not Having A Better Planning

Many in the middle age regret not focusing more on where they wanted to go and what they wanted do in life. With some more planning in our twenties, we’d be further ahead in our 30s.
