1) Ease of doing business

The World Bank’s Doing Business 2016 Report ranked Malaysia at 18th out of the 189 economies. This score came from assessment on areas such as trading across borders and starting a business. Source: Mida

2) Corruption

According to the index that was prepared by anti-corruption watchdog Transparency International (TI), Malaysia was ranked 54th out of 166 countries in year 2015. Are we good enough? Source: wikipedia

3) Government Efficiency

Malaysia has been ranked the 8th most efficient government globally in the Global Competitive Report 2014-2015. The report was published by World Economic Forum (WEF) on its website in July 2015. Source: Mida

4) World Competitiveness

According to the Global Competitive­ness Report 2015-2016, Malaysia was placed among the world’s top 20 most competitive economies and was ranked 18th ahead of countries like France and Australia. Source: weforum

5) Football

According to FIFA, Malaysia’s current world ranking in football is 166 out of 204 countries. Malaysia’s best ranking was 79 in year 1993 and our worst ranking was 171 in February 2016. Source: fifa

6) Education

A study conducted by Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in 2015 revealed that Malaysia was ranked 52nd out of 76 countries basing on math and science subjects while Singapore topped the chart. Source: bbc

7) University

Our best University which is University Malaya was ranked 146 in the world by QS World University Rankings 2015/2016. This is out of a total of more than 700 universities. University Malaya was ranked 29 in Asia. Source: topuniversities

8) Peace

According to the 2015 report by the international Institute for Economics and Peace think tank, the Global Peace Index (GPI) gauges global peace according to the level of safety and security in society, the extent of domestic and international conflict and the degree of militarization. 9) Standard of Living

GDP (PPP) per capita is often considered an indicator of a country’s standard of living or wealth of a nation. According to Global Finance (2015), Malaysia was ranked 45th out of 185 countries in the world with GDP per capita of USD 25,833.20. Source: wiki
