1) Future World @ ArtScience Museum
The ArtScience Museum collaborated with the international art collective, teamLab, presenting the “Future World: Where Art Meets Science” exhibition of digital interactive installations. Visitors can look forward to exploring two sections, beginning with the eight-installation journey of City in A Garden. Watch the generative artwork of flower life cycles, from budding to blossoming and withering. Or have fun playing music projected on an interactive artwork slide via Sketch Piston. Not to forget, the popular Sketch Aquarium, which allows visitors of all ages to stretch their creativity in bringing sea creatures on paper to life in the aquarium using a digital scanning method.
Moving on is Exploring New Frontiers, covering four installations from controlling your paper-made flying object (aeroplane, butterfly or hawk) on the big screen using a tablet device in Sketch Flight, to experiencing the amassed light points of Crystal Universe made up to form 3D objects.

2) Love the Last March @ Gardens By The Bay
This one-year-long exhibition, which debuted last May until 18 May 2024 made its mark as “the world’s longest sculpture to save wildlife”. Created by well-known public artists Gillie and Marc, visitors get to witness 45 of the world’s most endangered species with the eastern lowland gorilla leading the march. Each bronze-sculpted animal features a QR code-enabled plaque, allowing visitors to scan and experience a 3D animation model with augmented reality. Visitors can also learn more about each of these animals in detail.

3) Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience
After successful runs in the UK and the U.S., Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience finally made its Southeast Asia debut in Singapore on February 3, 2024. At the time of writing, the interactive outdoor-trail adventure is still ongoing so here’s your chance to check it out on Sentosa Island. Explore the Forbidden Forest and meet some of the magical creatures, namely Hippogriff and Centaur. Remember to download the HP Forbidden Forest Experience app via Google Play or App Store. The app helps to enhance your experience through many additional funs, covering interactions to games, trivia and photo opportunities. And of course, no Harry Potter experience would be complete without casting “spells” using a wand.

4) Galleries @ Peranakan Museum
Get to know more about Peranakan culture in Southeast Asia at Peranakan Museum, covering three major themes of Origins, Home and Style spreading across three levels. Beginning with the ground floor of the Origins gallery, visitors can learn about the Malay-Indonesian heritage through hundreds of photographs and video interviews.
The second floor of the Home galleries explores the ceramics and food culture, offering visitors a look at the traditional & contemporary Nyonya ware and videos about Peranakan dishes. There are also curated displays of Peranakan furniture and furnishings. Finally, the third floor of the Style galleries consists of assorted displays related to batik, decorative textiles, fashion and jewellery.

5) Vintage Toy Collections @ Mint Museum of Toys
Entering the Mint Museum of Toys is like reliving your childhood memories. The museum houses 50,000 vintage toys and collectables from action figures (e.g. Ultraman, Astro Boy) to first-edition comic books & novels. Witness key highlights such as the one and only Mekon Mask from Dan Dare and the historical Steiff teddy bear. They have four exhibitions in total including Outerspace, Characters, Childhood Favourites and Collectables.

6) Air Force Museum @ RSAF
Interested to see the history and mission of the RSAF (Republic of Singapore Air Force)? There’s an Air Force Museum, where you can bring along your kids to learn about them. Visit the indoor gallery to learn about its origins and operations through interactive displays and role-playing games. They also have an outdoor gallery displaying various fighter jets and helicopters.

7) Vintage Camera’s Museum
See over 1,000 cameras on display at Vintage Camera’s Museum, which made its mark as the first of its kind in Singapore. This includes everything from the replica of the world’s biggest camera to different types such as spy cameras, 3D cameras, pigeon cameras and box cameras. Interestingly, the building itself is uniquely shaped like a camera and apart from camera displays, you get to learn the history, photography tips and other things related throughout your visit.

8) Various Exhibitions @ National Museum of Singapore
Beyond its heritage 19th-century exterior, the National Museum of Singapore has been around for over a century. Visitors can look forward to some of their permanent exhibitions, namely An Old New World: Digital Edition, offering curated displays of artefacts and showcases with narrations available. Witness the beautiful 19th-century landscape paintings of the museum’s illustrious history and collection. And not to forget, explore the history charting the island’s development of Singapore from the very beginning in 1299 until the present day.
