Playtime is relished by all children, and though previous generations were content being outdoors, with unpredictable weather and safety issues, indoor play areas have started to become more common. Safe, fun, and a great way to pass the time, here are the Top 10 Indoor Play Centres for Kids in KL & Selangor.  

1) Kids E World


Kids E World is located in three different places, so go check them out at either IPC Mall, Da Men and The Gardens. If you always imagined a play area akin to Willy Wonka’s fantastical chocolate factory, this one comes close (without the sugar-rush). Carousels, ball-pits, and even fun workshops galore are available here. They’re open daily from 10am until 10pm.

2) Jungle Gym


At Jungle Gym, free-play is encouraged, with ball pits, slides, tunnels to crawl through, trampolines and even a movie room, they will be overwhelmed with options. There are currently two outlets – one in Atria Shopping Gallery, and the other in Bangsar Shopping Centre. Food is also available for both kids and adults, making it the perfect place to spend a few hours. 3) Kidzania


Kidzania at The Curve NX is like another world. No, really – they have their own government, language and culture. Kids are brought into an environment that functions as a mini city, where fun is coupled with learning. They can learn about 90 professions by engaging in role-playing activities pertaining to each career. This will equip them with knowledge on problem-solving and decision-making. 4) The Parenthood


Hailed as the largest family park in Malaysia, they have two outlets – in Sunway Pyramid and Sunway Putra Mall respectively. A “one-stop parenting hub”, The Parenthood offers shopping options, a pre-school, indoor playground with enrichment classes (Language/Speech and Drama/Kickboxing), and dining options. 5) Star Light Kids


Head over to Avenue K to visit Star Light Kids, and you can get a taste of outer space. With 3000 square feet to cover, your kids will be delighted to explore the intergalactic-themed area, with their indoor playground, ball blasting arena, and even a toddler playground. 6) Funtopia


Open daily from 10 am to 10 pm is Funtopia, located at the Funtopia Courtyard Mall in Subang Jaya, and they place a great importance on getting fit the fun way, for kids. With an indoor sports gym, climbing gym and many sports facilities. 7) Blok Space


Blok Space is a “creative space for children ages 5 to 14 to enjoy creative learning with construction toys”. Here, you’ll be spoilt for choice with the amount of building blocks available, as there’s currently more than 300 LEGO and DJECO games within the space. 8) Kizsports & Gym


Kizsports & Gym is referred to as a “one stop early childhood development centre”, with a play-land for kids between 6 months and 12 years, a fitness academy for newborns and toddlers, and even an early learning academy. Programs offered include, Kindermusik, Taekwondo, Ballet and even Yoga for kids. They are located at Great Eastern Mall in KL.

9) JKids Malaysia


JKids is located in several places, namely The Curve, Tropicana City Mall, Paradigm, Publika, Encorp Strand Mall, Gamuda Walk and MITSUI Outlet Park. Their indoor party facility can entertain kids of 6 months up to 13 years old. Some rides include the Spinning Palm Tree, Dancing Balloons and Air Ball Pool. 10) AMPED Malaysia


Head on over to The Club @ Bukit Utama for a different way to have a great time. This is a trampoline park, so get ready for heaps and leaps of fun! The fully air-conditioned area is equipped with a power tower, slide, aeroball arena, dodge ball, basketball, wall climb and foam pits – and is open for kids and adults alike.
